only an 8.3 for miss blanchett! tár was an 11/10 for me, honestly can’t say why. i think i liked how bleak everything was? so little color? and the ghost theories! chefs kiss
yeahh many people liked it A LOT, I wish I felt it that way as first reaction but maybe it'll come to me if a read a bit more about it. For me it was mostly that I didn't find the rythm of the plot to be pleasing.. sometimes scenes were so slow and they were telling a story and point of view of the character but then other times, like the revelations I felt like it happened super fast and it was like the movie was saying "yeah yeah that's how it ends you wanted more?" I think what I liked the most and won me were the visuals, the setting, how they made you feel like you were 100% immersed in Tár's life, you almost could feel like you knew her schedule hahah
